Undergraduate Students

We look for undergraduate consultants that have some experiences or familiarity with writing centers. You can gain this experience by taking WRA/ENG 395: Writing Center Theory, which is by instructor permission only. Contact Dr. Grace Pregent (pregentg@msu.edu) to request permission.

Prerequisites for WRA/ENG 395 include satisfactory completion of your Tier I writing requirement and satisfactory completion of at least the first half of your IAH requirement, as well as sophomore or better standing. 

Once you’ve taken WRA 395, please send a letter of interest, CV or resume, along with a writing sample, to Dr. Grace Pregent (pregentg@msu.edu).

Graduate Students

If you’re a graduate student, please send a letter of interest, CV or resume, and a writing sample to Dr. Grace Pregent (pregentg@msu.edu). You can also apply via Handshake.

Once your materials are submitted you will be contacted for an interview by our administrative team.
